| In keeping with tradition, Saturday afternoon (June 2, 2018) will be filled with the Buckaroo and Grand Parades. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blanket and line the streets of Carson City to enjoy one of the favorite activities of our festival weekend.|
We are encouraging all of the Carson City's Buckaroos to join in the fun of the Buckaroo Parade on Saturday, June 2, at 12:30 p.m. Line-up will be at 12:15p.m. at Michigan One Community Credit Union. The parade will begin there and will continue down Main Street, ending in the Post Office parking lot. There will be a contest for the entry best representing Frontier Days. Grab your cowboy hat and come join in the fun. The winning buckaroo will walk away with prize valuing approximately $100.
The Grand Parade will begin at 1 p.m. Line-up for the Grand Parade begins at the corner of Division and Garfield Streets at noon. The parade will be traveling down Williams Street to Main Street making it's way the length of Main Street and turning north on First Street making it's way up past the Laurel's of Carson City. We would ask all participants in the parade to please make sure there is a sign/banner with your company or entry's name on it to help our announcer recognize your entry.
As a reminder to our spectators, please stay a safe distance from the moving parade vehicles when crossing the road or retrieving items that are given out during the parade. We want you to enjoy the parade, but to stay safe.
