Each year the committee takes on the task of creating a schedule of events that will be enjoyed by the entire community. We strive to make the entire festival weekend FREE to our community and to be very family friendly. You will notice Frontier Days 2021 has a few new events to enjoy as well as community favorites from the past. We invite you to get out and enjoy what our fantastic city has to offer.
We welcome you to Carson City Frontier Days 2021 and hope that you enjoy yourself throughout the weekend.
In keeping with tradition, Saturday afternoon (June 5, 2021) will be filled with the Buckaroo and Grand Parades. Bring your lawn chairs and/or blanket and line the streets of Carson City to enjoy one of the favorite activities of our festival weekend.
Buckaroo Parade Starts at 1:00 p.m.
We are encouraging all of the Carson City's Buckaroos to join in the fun of the Buckaroo Parade on Saturday, June 5th at 1:00 p.m. Line-up will be at 12:45p.m. at Michigan One Community Credit Union. The parade will begin there and will continue down Main Street, ending in the Post Office parking lot. There will be a contest for the entry best representing Frontier Days. Grab your cowboy hat and come join in the fun. The winning buckaroo will walk away with great prize.
Grand Parade Starts at 1:30 p.m.
This year Carson City Frontier Days is packed with a variety of entertainment options for visitors to enjoy.
Food Truck Friday
We are excited for our first annual Food Truck Friday. Haradine Park will be the host of a variety of Food Trucks on Friday, June 4th from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. We invite the entire community to head to the park to enjoy the food from our visiting trucks. The park is a great location for this! Grab a bite and sit under the pavilion or along the banks of Fish Creek and enjoy a terrific lunch. There is something for everyone.
Check back for updates on what trucks will be joining us this year.
We are excited to have Scott Kuefler back in Carson City for the Frontier Days Festival. Scott has been speed carving since 2001. Scott will give three one-hour chainsaw carving demonstrations throughout the day on Saturday, June 5th. Shows will be at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Carson City-Crystal Middle School complex. These amazing pieces of art will be auctioned off at 6:00 p.m. under the tent at the launch field. You won't want to miss getting the opportunity to take one of these masterpieces home with you. Please make sure you attend the auction!
The ever popular Animal Oasis Petting Zoo will return to Carson City for the festival weekend. The Petting Zoo will be on the corner of Division and Sherman Streets on Saturday, June 5th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. There will be plenty of special animals to keep kids of all ages entertained.
There will be feed cones for purchase if you are interested in feeding your newly made friends. This is such a fun activity for families. Make sure you stop by for a visit with some familiar friends and a few unique ones as well.
Entertainment by Tim
Tim Salisbury will be making his way back to Carson City for the 2020 Frontier Days Festival. Tim is a variety entertainer extraordinaire. He has performed throughout the midwest for the last twenty years. His shows are fast moving performances that keep audiences on the edge of their seats wondering what is going to happen next. You will witness world class juggling (yes, even with bowling balls), feats of strength and balance and a lot of audience participation.
Saturday Market Place
We are currently in the process of accepting applications for the Marketplace Craft Show for the 2021 Frontier Days celebration. This is an outside event along the street (Second Street) and an adjacent parking lot. The event will be a one day event on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Do you like watching 'Flea Market Flip' on HGTV? Do you take weekly trips in the summer to Trufant? Do you like to search for treasures? If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then Frontier Days 2021 is the place to be! The 2021 Frontier Days Festival will be hosting our very own Flea Market. This will be located on Sherman Street from the corner of First Street to our downtown area. We are hoping to fill this area with treasures that you just can't pass up.
If you are interested in having a booth, or need information about our Flea Market, please contact Amy at 989-330-3031. You can also download an application below.
