Each year the committee takes on the task of creating a schedule of events that will be enjoyed by the entire community. We strive to make the entire festival weekend FREE to our community and to be very family friendly. This year you will notice there are some new activities that were suggested by community members and of course some traditional activities are back as well.
We invite you to get out get involved. Try something new. Enjoy the weekend.

Fireworks Return!
We are excited to be able to offer Fireworks again to our community. Saturday, June 3rd, following the Hot Air Balloon Glow in West Park, the community will be able to enjoy the firework show put on by Small Town Saturday Night Fireworks.
What a 'Grand Finale' to our weekend festival!

Schedule
The 2023 Frontier Days festival will be hosting The Grand Parade this year. We hope the entire community will come down to Main Street Carson City with their lawn chairs/blankets to pick their favorite spot to watch the parade. It will be fun for the entire family.
The Grand Parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. This year the parade route will be from the corner of Linden and Willams Streets to Main Street. It will continue to travel down Main Street to the east and turn north at Michigan 1 Community Credit Union. The parade will end at Carson City-Crystal High School.
Registration forms are available online and also will be available the day of the parade. Everyone is welcome to participate. We ask all participants to go to line up at the corner of Mercantile and Garfield Streets. Volunteers will be there to direct you to your spot. We ask that if you want our announcer to mention your business name or details about you entry that you fill out an entry form either online or the day of the parade.
*There will not be a Buckaroo Parade in 2022 due to lack of participation, but all are welcome to participate in the Grand Parade.*

There are plenty of activities that you can participate in throughout the entire weekend. These activities have become newer traditions that the community enjoys and continue to ask to have them return.
Family Scavenger Hunt
(pick up at Festival Tent on the corner of Sherman and Division Streets or at the Community Picnic).
Kids Grab and Go Crafts

Frisbee Golf
Bring your own frisbee to Grove Park. The course is ready for you.
Friday Frontier Days Fun
Food Trucks Return!
The third annual Food Truck Rally will be back for the 2023 festival. Food Trucks will be ready to fill your stomachs Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The Food Truck Rally will be located in the parking lot directly behind the Shell Station at the corner of Division and Main Street We invite the entire community to head downtown to enjoy the food from our visiting trucks. Grab a bite. There is something for everyone.
There will be a tent with plenty of seating for you to sit and enjoy the fabulous food from our visiting food trucks.

5K Glow Run/Walk
Carson City Frontier Days and The Carson City Community Corporation are working together again to bring the 5K Glow Run/Walk to Frontier Days on Friday, June 2nd. To get registered, please go to Run Sign Up. Participants are encouraged to pre-register prior to May 28, 2023 for $25. Packet pick up will be available on race day at West park beginning at 7:30pm. Race day registration will be available at West park for $30/individual or $50/family. Race day registration will begin at 7:30pm.
The race begins at 9pm from West Park (Fort Frontier) in downtown Carson City and travels through town before returning to the park. A FREE (no registration required) 1 mile run for youth 13 and under starts at 8:15 pm and the 400m FREE kids race precedes the 5K at 8:30pm. Participant times will be recorded and available post race at Haradine Park.
Post race refreshments and gift to the top 3 place finishers in each division.
Live results for the race will be posted online after the race. Please wear bibs on front.
We would like to thank Sparrow Carson Hospital for sponsoring this event this year. We would also like to thank Hull Dairy Farm for the after race refreshments.
Saturday Fun
Frontier Marketplace Craft Show

The 2023 Marketplace Craft Show is packed with treasures. We have over 60 crafters/vendors signed up to come to our event. The event will take place Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Marketplace will be along Sherman Street behind our downtown businesses. You will see many handmade crafts (woodworking, soaps, candles, glassware, wind chimes, pebble art, spices, candy, crocheted items and more), plants, books, and toys. You will see vendors from Origami Owl, Scentsy, Color Street, Paparazzi and more. There is such a terrific variety. Make sure you make your way to our visiting crafters to see what they have. We are sure you will find a treasure or two to take home.
Inflatable Fun
We have Scooby-Doo and his friends joining us for Frontier Days in for form of inflatables. We have a 5 in 1 bounce house with a Scooby-Doo theme available for your bouncing fun. The 5 in 1 combo style bounce house has a large interior jumping area with a basketball hoop and log and pop-up obstacles. It also has a small climbing area and a slide for exiting. We also have the Mystery Machine Inflatable that is full of bouncing, climbing, and sliding fun.
These two inflatables can be found the on the corner of Division and Sherman Streets. Inflatable Fun will be available to all participants FREE OF CHARGE on Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Also in the Inflatable Fun area, there is an opportunity for kids and their families to take a few photos with some Scooby-Doo props. Also kids will get a change to 'spin the wheel' to win a prize.
There is great fun to be had! Stop by anytime to join in the fun.
Antique Tractor Show & Kid Pedal Pull
For the first time, we are hosting an Antique Tractor Show. This event was a request from the community. We have invited area antique tractor clubs to participate in our event.
It will take place on Saturday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in West Park (Fort Frontier). All are invited to participate. Registration will take place the day of the event. There will be door prizes for the event as well as awards in three categories. There is no entry fee - all are welcome. During the show, there will also be a Kid Pedal Pull event. There will be three age groups for the kids. Prizes will be awarded to the top three in each age group based on the pull. Again there is no fee for the pedal pull.
The community is invited to participate as well as take a stroll in the park to look at the tractors. I'm sure there are a few stories to tell as you walk through the tractors in attendance.
At the completion of the tractor show, all tractors are invited to participate in the Grand Parade at 1:30 p.m.

Car Show
IT BACK!!!
The Car Show is back! Carson City Frontier Days is excited to once again host the Car Show. The Car Show will return to Haradine Park on June 3rd from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cars will line up along the banks of Fish Creek. You will get to see an up close view of some amazing classic cars and trucks. Everyone will enjoy walking through the park admiring car after car. There will certainly be stories to tell.
If you have a vehicle that you want to enter to show off, registration begins at 9:00 a.m. at the park. There is no registration fee for the show. Door prizes and show honors will be handed out during the show. All cars are invited to participate in the Grand Parade that begins at 1:30 p.m. Get your cars shined up and entered in the show!
Retro Lanes Bowling
Carson City Frontier Days and Retro Lanes are partnering together to offer FREE bowling for our community. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3rd. All are welcome to participate in the event. Depending on the turnout, there will be a time limit rotation so that everyone gets the opportunity to participate.

Food Truck Fun

Corn Hole Tournament
You asked. We heard you! This year we are bringing the First Annual Backyard Corn Hole Tournament. The Tournament will take place immediately following the Grand Parade on Saturday, June 3rd at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Church property. Register for the tournament early with the form below or by 2:30 p.m. the day of the tournament.
This is a totally free tournament and is open to all ages. There will be prizes for 1st through 4th place finishers. It is sure to be a good time. Grab a teammate and get signed up soon. There is a 32 team limit.

We are excited to welcome back Kevin Schaffer to Carson City Frontier Days on Saturday, June 3rd. Kevin will be preforming at the launch field on Saturday evening (West Park/Fort Frontier Park) from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
At 27 years old, Kevin Schaffer is making noise in the West Michigan music scene, as an up-and-coming Country/Rock singer and songwriter. He has made appearances all around Michigan entertaining guests. Visit his Facebook page to see what he has been doing.
